Got an idea for a short film? Need help using your new DV camera? From making films for the internet to the art of storytelling, the 90 Second Challenge will feature a broad programme of events that will cater for all ages and levels of ability. Events will be listed below as details are confirmed. (Events take place at Watershed Media Centre, Bristol unless otherwise stated).

90 Second Challenge Drop-in Sessions

Want to know more about 90 Second Challenge? Want to meet like-minded people to collaborate with? Just fancy a pint? 90 Second Challenge will be hosting informal drinks in Watershed bar from 1800hrs - 2000hrs every first Thursday of the month. Plus bring your work in progress or past work to share - Waterside 1 will be available for show and tell on some of the dates….

90 Second Challenge & Electric Pavilion Drop-in

Join 90 Second Challenge and Electric Pavilion representatives for an informal networking and screening session for artists, filmmakers and Creative Bristol collaborators from across the city. From Flash animation to
pencil illustration, CCTV to BBC: 2005 is about creative participation.

Featuring finished submissions, work in progress screenings and an opportunity to discuss new ideas – drop-in to find out who is making what, how it’s coming along and how you can get involved.

90 Second Challenge Editing Masterclass

Join author and BAFTA award-winning editor Don Fairservice for this masterclass on the history, theory and practice of editing films. From using sound to editing for specific genres, a range of examples from film clips to
TV adverts will illustrate how editing is used to create meaningful narrative. An exploration of the craft of editing – this event will include tips and tricks for editors of all levels.

This event is free, please collect a ticket from Box Office on the night.
