'Alison Lapper sculptures' by art+power

A group poem by Roy Tanner and Claude Rimmer. Artists from art + power wrote a number of poems inspired by the work of controversial artist Marc Quinn. His sculpture of a pregnant woman who was born without arms as a result of the use of the drug thalidomide was chosen to go on the empty fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square, London. He created a second sculpture of Alison with her son Parys. Alison herself is a photographer.
