The crowning of Faustus; the devil dancers make an aisle up which one of the dancers walks towards Faustus with the devil’s crown. This is placed on Faustus’ head: the tilted crown makes him more like a clown. Carol has caught the moment of the ‘tilted crown’ in this drawing.
