My name is Lizzie lane and I love painting and I know about art. I've done lots of paintings and I’ve been an artist for years. I put my pictures in an exhibition so that people can see them. I want people to see how good I am as an artist. I love it I do. It’s beautiful, wonderful, brilliant - I’m very happy about art.
I love painting people, their faces, so that they can come out nice. I love drawing from life. I paint people and the pictures show people from my memories and new people. I like to paint people I know, like Teresa and Teresa’s mother Wyn, and a woman with red hair and glasses named Claire. As I meet them I paint them
I was born in Southmead in 1953. I had a big brother, Norman, who died. I miss him. I have a little brother John, and three sisters; Babs, Chris, Janet Jones.
I like painting. It makes me feel happy. I’m very good at it. I’ve painted big pictures at Spike Island. I’ve sold one painting to my cousin Ronald and bought myself a bottle of wine to celebrate.
I also act with the Portway Players. It’s brilliant, great. I really enjoy it. I’m going to be in Dr Faustus and have also acted as a werewolf. I’m also with Singing Voices.
