"Wet on wet oil is oil painting using a large amount of linseed oil. The paint is applied with a rag which has been dipped into oil, then the oil and paint are rubbed well into the canvas. The process is slow - as only about half an hour's work can be done in one sitting. After each sitting the canvas must be allowed to dry before more paint is applied on top. I found the slow pace of producing each piece quite relaxing."

"As can be seen, wet on wet oils provide very rich and vibrant colours. The series explores the spirituality of the seasons as I experienced them."
