The photos I took in Portugal I like – this is because I thought about them before I took them. In Bristol that was much harder because I am so used to seeing it. So I think I captured some much more unusual views of the city in Oporto.
My overall favourite is the image of the old town taken through the bridge – Ponte Luis – it captures the city and the bridge, which is a major part of the architecture there. Their bridges are so much nicer than ours, more unusual.
I also I really like my photo of the tiled houses – all the houses are unique and different; they have patterns, different tiles and interesting windows.
For me it was brilliant and life changing to be in Oporto. It has made me want to learn different languages, and go back again and again… I know that I will in the future, and return to people I love, and a more chilled out style of life.’
