Arts Council England is the national development agency for the arts. Between 2003 and 2006 we will invest £2 billion of public funds in the arts in England, including funding from the National Lottery. We support talent from every sector of the artistic society. We are totally committed to equality and diversity and to ensuring that people throughout the country can participate in and experience the highest quality arts activities. Applications are sought from artists of ALL racial and ethnic backgrounds, including from underrepresented Black and Minority ethnic groups.

The Rich Mix building is a dynamic new cross-cultural arts and media centre in the heart of the East End. This vast former garment factory now houses a three-screen cinema; exhibition spaces, café; opening in the New Year are recording and music training studios; a 200-seater performance venue; a multi-media ‘Newsroom’; education and; workspaces, a bar; and a broadcasting centre for BBC London Rich Mix mission is to bridge cultures and build mutual respect by inspiring, sharing, and developing creativity in all its forms. In so doing, we will enhance the social, economic and cultural richness that Britain exchanges with the world.

 

Opened in 1982, Watershed is Britain's first Media Centre and is Bristol's main arts cinema. With an established brand and strong demand, Watershed promotes creativity, innovation & inclusion from cultural, commercial & community sectors. It acts as a facilitator and catalyst within the creative industries, forging innovative partnerships to advance creativity in new technologies.
