I love working at Watershed as a cinema usher because I have always loved movies! I haven’t lived in Bristol very long, but I like it quite a bit, so far! I used to visit the Watershed a bit when I was in Uni – I did Film Studies during my degree, so that what made me interested in the different kind of movies they show here. I am really looking forward to taking part in the exhibition to celebrate the Watershed’s anniversary – it really has made me realise how so MANY people work here, and its going to be really interesting seeing what kind of creative things people are into making, outside their jobs!

I first started making art in Exeter where I attended college and foundation courses.

I completed my painting BA at Bath Spa University College and since have continued painting and etching. I am currently studying towards my PGCE. I totally would love to teach Art at College level, as I had my most positive learning experiences studying Art at college!

Using found objects as a surface to paint on is interesting and challenging to me as a painter, and to viewers’ perception of what a painting can be.

Working from life photographs and my imagination I make small paintings that reflect my ordinary everyday life, familiar scenes and scenarios to which the viewer can relate to.

Often my paintings are in a series which encourages people to imagine their own narrative.
