Tim Crawley
D.O.B 06/09/1980
Position: Café Bar assistant - worked at the shed for 5 years.
Since graduating from UWE with an award winning documentary 'Sidewalk Situations' in 2003 (view video below), Tim has used the flexibility of part-time employment at Watershed's Café/Bar to allow him to earn a living while developing personal film and video projects. Starting off making promotional videos and putting on events for skateboard companies such as Hoax, Fifty Fifty, Hostage Clothing, Nike SB and East skateboards, Tim then utilised his video editing and promotional skills to develop his first major project 'InSitu Skateboarding Stories' (view trailer below).
This dvd project sold 1,000 copies across the UK and Europe and paved the way for Tim's involvement with the National skateboarding magazines 'Sidewalk' and 'Document' as a contributing Journalist.
Shortly after the InSitu DVD Tim produced the short film ‘Steam Skate’ for the local short film festival ‘a place of much laughter’ based in his home town of Midsomer Norton.
Tim then diverted his creative energies towards his immediate environment; the Watershed and teamed up with fellow employee Gavin Wilshen to put on the Watershed's first staff exhibition 'Aftershed' (see flyer below).
Following the success of 'Aftershed' Tim's working partnership with Gavin flourished and they teamed up with fellow employees Amy Feneck, Jose Fletemen and Lisandro on an excursion to Serbia to document the political music festival 'Exit'.
Following the Festival's political standpoint of improving Balkan and European relations, Tim and his crew from the Watershed formed the Enter/Exit project developing links with Balkan music outfits, NGO's and began developing a documentary piece on the festival (click here to view trailer)and click here to view Enter/Exit myspace.
Tim is now leaving the bar at the end of the summer, aiming to gain industry experience to compliment his personal projects and aid professional devlopment. Tim is planning to leave the Watershed with a short film representing his experience of the place. View excerpt from ‘my shed’ below.
