In February 02, Berlin-based artist Ana Bilankov was in residence in Watershed, developing and producing a digital video piece. The resulting short film, Sweet Home explores contemporary questions of displacement and home within the historical context of Bristol. Sweet Home was screened at Watershed on the large screen in March 04 and it is now online in the Creative Content section of dShed. Click on the Sweet Home link to the left to view Ana's film and read the artist's notes.
During the residency period, Ana produced an Online Journal documenting the progress of Sweet Home through text and images. Visitors to the Digital Café were Ana was working, were also invited to make Audience Contributions to the process through making drawings about the notion of 'sweet home'.
This project was a collaboration between Watershed, the Research Centre for Contextual, Public and Commemorative Art, UWE, Bristol and the Institute for Art in Context at the University of Arts, Berlin.
